Too cute and funny!! Thanks for the laughter. I really enjoyed our talk today ... did we solve all the issues that come with breast cancer??? NOT!
But I bet we at least talked about a lot of them. Isn't it amazing how cancer affects so many different levels and places of our lives...the unknown, the new "language and definitions", the full spectrum of emotions, our relationships with friends, family and God... the impact of it all.
In all things we see the good and bad...but prayerfully at the end of the day..we choice to set our minds on good, the truth, and those things which are lovely.
Love you tremendously and God Bless,
Mom
I finally read all your blogs which gave me smiles, tears and laughter to the point I almost peed in my pants. I definitely have lopsided, dangling TaTa's with wrinkles, stretch marks and bumps that make them look more like road maps laid out on rocky mountains. But ya know what, I love every inch of them and thank my God that cancer is one illness I don't have to cope with. SLE has been enough.
Odd as it sounds, I've had moments of guilt because I DON'T have cancer. For almost 6 weeks now I've been getting my daily antibiotic infusions at the Cancer Infusion Center. One morning a woman sitting next to me asked "So, what kind of cancer do you have...?" Ugh, how embarrassed I felt to say I only had a bone infection! This feisty lady went on to say "we all have something to bear, don't we..." It just always seems to help to talk it out.
Through whatever trials life brings to us, always know that God's the best sounding board, we have. We can say, shout, scream anything and God will listen, continue to love us and walk us through whatever we need to get through. Don't lose sight of Him and you won't lose sight of Hope. Blessings. maryd
